200 cc runner 64 cc which have been shaved down to 61cc for added compression..I don't know too much about head design but the have new Manley guides and springs..
I'm looking for just street muscle with the occasional trip to the strip.....Are 200 cc runners a little too big or should I stay with the pro comp 190 cc aluminum which I have on my 350 now?
NEITHER head is what I consider ideal, either head should allow you too easily reach 400 hp on a correctly built 383, we all work on a budget, and these are both examples of heads on the lower cost end of the range in SBC heads, if you select the correct other matched components, and match the drive train to the power band so you can use that torque curve effectively, the cylinder head port size alone of either head has a good deal LESS effect on the eventual results and less to do with the eventual combos characteristics that the engine compression, ratio ,cam timing, and the heads flow numbers and cam lift and LSA, and exhaust scavenging, and intake design you select will.neither the current 190cc pro=comp aluminum heads nor the iron sportsman II 200cc heads, have a huge advantage, I would not be in a big hurry to spend money on the swap.
look at the charts below, both heads , in stock out of the box form have similar flow numbers, and both heads can be significantly improved with careful port work.

PERSONALLY ID SUGGEST SPENDING A BIT MORE AND STEPPING UP TO A BIT BETTER HEAD LEVEL, especially if I had serious power as my goal
