Hi gearheads
I boght duramax engine, wiring harness and ecu it's lly or lbz from 2006 van
I swap i to my square body
Engine mounts are easy but wiring is challence because there is no much information for stand alone wiring ,ecu needs new tune
Allso i sand plast and paint frame ped and cap
I have one rotten cap in back yard so i may cut 50 cm of it and do extended cap to my square
Lotsof ideas but no time, i drive 1000 kilometer every week so i have to do engine swap fast

Any info is wellcome ,i take pictures and update here

They typical used the Allison 5 speed auto trans.
Not sure if the preset 4L80E compatible.

Diesels have special stall torque converters.
May kill the stock 4L80e converter fast.

They use an Allison 504 Torque converter to TH400 on Street Outlaws.
Big Chiefs Pontiac GTO. CROW.

They have injector issues when they get old Duramax.

Diesel are Fun.
They have so much torque down low with Boost...explode anything.
Turbo 400 will take.

Van engine is detuned for 4l80e trans
I use my full manual 4l80
10 bolt rear end works as fuse in this build
I like cummins allso but it's very expensive engine over here
I got duramax prety cheap
Also mechanical ip is one option but it's not easy job

Its going to be a pain the ECM wiring.
GM uses a ton of serial data lines & all black box modules need to chat talk to each other.

Some progress,i got engine runing,it starts and runs few seconds then vats shut it down
I boght lisense from alldaydiy.com there is all wiring diagrams
Duramax needs two relays ,six fuses ,b+ ,start run voltage and park neutral signal from the transmission and shifter then it starts
Now i have to find tuner to disamble vats and other un needed functions from ecm
