drain the fuel. blow out the passages with DRY high pressure air using a can of that spray they use on computers, NOT your shop compressor

spray the carb lightly with WD 40 inside and out
and place in ZIPLOC bag ,then place the bag in TUPPERWARE
Ive stored carbs like that and pulled them out for use 12 years later and after a brief clean and adjust they work fine, its MOISTURE, or old fuel left in carbs that screws up carbs, yes you may need to replace gaskets occasionally but if the carbs, first dried correctly, then sealed in a zip-lock bag and Tupperware after a light spray down with WD40 that's seldom been a problem
