Are you going to paint the whole car or just those areas where work has been done ?

They are only going to paint the areas that they touch up. They're pretty damn good. I doubt I'll see the difference in hues. I'll be going back on Tuesday to take a few more pics.

I dont think you will see the difference for the painting
Its hard for me to explain in english but, usually they end with a "degraded paint" between the new and old surface(using the same color of course) and clear coat the whole car so the "paint fumes" wont show.

How much longer do they expect to have the car? Why are the door handles off, I thought they were going to only paint the repaired areas?

It looks like you are adding a flare over the rear wheels.

Flare ads flair...

The will be progressively "degrading" the paint to match the rest of the side and then clearcoating.

That will reach all the way up the front edge of the doors...

They expect to pain on Friday unless the rust on roof runs deeper than expected.

You door looks low/sagging a little it do not follow the body line on the passager side.
BTW you car looks cool :)

Do you let them drive the car so they can move it?
i do all the work on mine because i want no one to drive it lol. Most people are too scared to sit in the driver seat anyway and it require strong legs to use that clutch, its easy to drop it and feather the throttle a little too much :D.

The sagging door is likely an optical illusion - it's quite straight I assure you.

I did have to explain to them how to set the switch panel to turn car on and off + how to use the shifter. I suspect they might not have managed. ;-)

I really am looking foward to this. They seem to be very thorough. They will also care for several few nick and dings. This is going to look great - like new, I bet!

Ah - the only thing that might be causing you to see the hanging door is the aluminum trim. The fron and rear panels are not fully seated. They will take care of that too. I never managed to get them on there quite right.

Must be nice, to have sooo much money, you can just pay someone paint it for you !!! Looking smooth thou!

I know yer kidding, however I had an estimate done last fall... and had been saving my nickels and dimes since.

Turns out, they are doing a more thorough job than I expected...
