If youve got a STOCK O.E.M. 700r4 in your car and an engine that makes more than about 450hp and 450ft lbs of torque your going to eventually be forced into learning about transmission repair.
now adding a good transmission cooler to your car to reduce the average transmission fluid temperatures to the ideal 170f-180f range will without doubt , tend to delay the transmission failure ,

but it WILL eventually fail due to the constant abuse of being subjected torque loads its never been designed to hold up to, the earlier 1985-about 1987 were weaker than the later versions like the 4l60e but theres several weak components and while theres been almost continual upgrades made to the basic transmission design , the basic transmission is not designed to handle high shock or torque loads.
I can tell you from experience that theres lots of aftermarket parts , like hardened gears, input shafts, sun gear cages etc, that can be used to significantly increase the basic 700r4 strength, but your fighting a hopeless battle at about 600 hp/600ft lbs even with those components in my opinion, so upgrading to some transmission like a 4L80E may be a much cheaper route than trying to patch together a 700r4 that will endure long term,in the long run if that's your power goal
the 4l80E has 6 bolts to Flexplate
the 4l60E has 3 bolts to Flexplate
