To rotating assy or not to rotating assy...

Sorry to disappoint you all, but I did the math... a fullblown SHP, Little M or what is out of my $$$ for the moment. Due to being in Belgium it will be double the purchase price.

Since the 400 is out, I might as well upgrade it with splayed caps and a forged rotating assy either from Lewis Racing or Ohio Crankshaft.

Stay tuned!

Darn that's too bad! Dart doesn't have any suppliers in Europe??? I checked on the Dart website and didn't find anything across the big pond.

Yes. We've been chatting. Johan has a 400 with splayed caps that needs an overbore from its current 030. Mine has more meat as it's never been rebuilt. Considering a swap. A full on SHP or Dart would at least $7000.

One last question for you guys.

M getting tired here so maybe you already answered. I can add splayed caps to my 400 that has never been overbored. The caps alone will set me back $1000. Or I can use my 4-bolt 350 and possibly make a 383 out of it. I think the 350 has been rebuilt once before. But given choice in terms of power and reliability... Which way would you go?
