White plastic components in tools and equipment manufactured under the name of OEM is part of an all inclusive recall.
I found out yesterday when I opened a never used plastic pack containing a white plastic hand pump. First, the clear package (which was never exposed to sunlight) just crumbled up into small pieces. Upon using the hand pump it too broke into many small pieces.
I sometimes I buy tools at HF that I may not need that day but I feel I will someday and I just put it away. This tool by OEM is something you can screw into a gallon of hand cleaner or something else and pump out what you need. In my case I needed to use the enclosed tubes and pump out an oil resevoir and the pump just exploded in my hands. If that wasn't enough I had to disassemble the entire system and flush to assure no plastic pieces went uncollected.
HF gladly took the return and the manager explained the recall and safety notice. That same pump is available now but in black plastic.
OEM brand is sold through most big box discount retailers and most auto parts stores across the country and they can take your returns without receipt until March 31, 2020. Note: Without receipt you may exchange for similar item or store credit but the return credit is subject to lowest sale or clearance pricing.

oem is a pretty popular company, you can score their tools at all the auto parts and on the MAC truck also.... thank for the heads up
