Trans acting funny in truck

Ok, my transmission is Possessed. While I was changing the oil and filter I decided to change the trans filter as well. I lowered the truck and filled the oil - done. I pulled the trans dip stick and it showed fluid past the "hot" level. I put it back in to the stop and again pulled to read and confirm - yes, it's over the "hot" mark. I couldn't believe the trans is over full, I checked it last month and it was on the money. But before I go through getting back on the lift and trying to drain just the right amount I wanted to recheck just one more time that the dip stick was in all the way. It was, and still shows over the top.
I started the truck to see if the level would change and it did, the stick was now dry, kept checking - dry. I added 2 quarts to get the fluid level correct. So far I don't have the slip that a bad U joint presents. One last thing, I went to check the power steering fluid level, turned the cap and it exploded fluid, and it was still full. I never touched ever.
 
Visual check the transmission cooler lines Richard .
GM had a Recall for Silverado Duramax Allison Trans lines issues . Leaking.
 
Is there a way you can see ALL recalls for a particular model/yr.?
Actually I know there is - I just like to see it.

There is a way Yes Richard to pull up all recalls and Bulletin updates for GM.Vehicles .
It was easy in the past .
Right from the GM Website .
They may have locked it down.
Try Google search.
Driving home from work
Worked late again .
