transmission build dates?

Ive recently got my hands on a couple different transmission cores, that I was given in a trade for a few engine parts I no longer needed, and while I clean them up and look for numbers and inspect them for damage etc. I would like to find out what they came from, now I know they are ( 2-4l80e) and (2 -700r4)
and I was curious if theres an easy way to find the date they were built

AS I FIND LINKS OR INFO I WILL POST THEM IN THIS THREAD FOR FUTURE REFERENCE

yes I,M aware this holds true for some but its not obviously true for all transmissions

build dates on the 700r4 are important there were allot of changes in design over the years on them. The older input drums held less clutchs and had a smaller 28 spline shaft. Other changes also but you can do some upgrading to them.

its also true on the 4l80e as the transmissions built ABOUT PRE-2000 have several less upgrades than those built POST 2000
Ill freely admit "I'm not a trans guy," but I have a few friends with impressive cars, (some of which I built engines for) pushing over 600hp, some with over 900hp and the 4l80e trans has developed a good reputation for durability
