Just so you guys know...

I have decided to go with either the:
- never overbored 2-bolt 400 machined for splayed caps
- Or, the 4-350. Still need to check its bore condition. Make it a 383

Ohio Crank says the 350-383 will shroud the valves a bit. Lewis Racing says - wound never notice power drop in a street application.

So on the fence there - the 383 would be cheaper but at power loss? Machining for splayed caps is $600.

Ohio Cranks can put together a rotating assy for $1700. Bearings included...
With damper and flexplate: +$225

Lewis Racing: TBD

Stay tuned.

Do they Sonic Test their blocks for cylinder wall thickness ??? I had my 350ci SBC w/4 both mains tested, the thinnest area was 0.064" after a 0.060 over bore. Even at only 0.030 over, it would have still been marginal. Food for thought.

Below is how my cylinders looked after 0.060" over.
