I'm swapping gears in my 81 El Camino again due to a change in the type of manual tranny I'm using.This is a 10 bolt 7-5/8 rear.Got a really nice set of used gears.
I have done a few gear swaps using new gears with no problem.But people with more knowledge than me say it can be a little more difficult to set up used gears. They suggest getting the tooth pattern off the coast side and not the drive side for best results with used gears.
Any opinions on this?
