In terms of an early 70's stock small block 350, can someone please post a photo or drawing of the best place to connect a vacuum gauge for diagnostic purposes? Is it the PVC tube attached to the front of a Quadrajet, the side port for the brake booster port (using a tee of course) or if there is a spot on the intake manifold that may be better (or worse)? This would not be permanent but where I can run the hose through the fire wall and check things out while under driving conditions. I just want to confirm the engine is performing correctly and I don't think the whole spectrum can be seen just by being in park and playing with the throttle - correct?
PS: I have the chart to interpret the vacuum readings, I just don't want to invalidate the findings if the connection location is not optimum.
