Looking for somebody to help adjust my valves
I have a 93 Vet, a guy replaced my valve seals and messed up the valve adjustment beyond his ability to correct. I have tried 5 or 6 times to get it correct and keep failing. I am hoping there is somebody that could spare some time and give me a hand getting my Vet back on the road.

When he did the seals I believe he was on the exhaust stroke and not compression #1. He broke a couple costly items then bailed on me. Im fairly sure the valves touched the pistons at some point!
I have tried in vein to get it correct and it is beating me to death. I am at wits end, I have tried all kinds of suggestions and continue to get the same results. The car has not run in about a week and a half now.
So does anyone have the time and know how to come to Hinesville and get me on the road again?
The car has not started since the valves seals were installed as I believe they werre done on the exhaust stroke.
Really would like someone to come and give me a hand, as I am now clueless what to do next. I have tried to adjust them a handful of times and continue to get the same results

before you even bother trying to adjust the valves ID strongly suggest a COMPRESSION TEST BE DONE, if the valves hit the pistons hard enough to leave marks on the pistons that took hundreds of lbs of force, so theres an excellent chance you bent valves and NO AMOUNT of adjusting will get the car running correctly, youll NEED to pull the heads and have a valve job or upgrade to new better heads, ID also suggest verifying your ignition firing order, and all electrical and vacuum connections

yes reading the links, posted above takes time,
but you will avoid the whole problem if you understood the correct procedures well BEFORE letting some unskilled moron screw up your car.

above I stated how to logically test and determine whats likely wrong, assuming you find one or more likely several cylinders with less than reasonable cylinder pressure levels, like Im assuming your likely to do..
Ok at this point you, have done a compression test and got little or zero cylinder pressure, thats proof the valves no longer shut, so pull the heads and either replace them with better heads or take the old heads to a QUALITY head re-builder and have them rebuilt with new valves and guides and seats if thats required , which is very likely to cost $350-$600 ( COST depends on level of damage , amount of replacement parts, and amount of TIG welding and machine work required)
so in most cases upgrading to better heads is a valid option
