HEY GRUMPY?? The issue is that it wont be fixed before I buy it, and I need to somehow have the window in the fully 'up' position so that when i take it home I can leave it on my driveway without someone getting in...

Does anyone have any tips how I can temporarily get the window fully up? (I am not looking for a permanent fix at this stage)

HONESTLY???
look this is a very simply repair, and yeah! I know if youve never done it it might look like its complicated, ITS JUST NOT VERY DIFFICULT, IF ITS THE WINDOW SWITCH REPLACE IT,If its the regulator or its connections or an adjustment, just pull the door panel, and look at the electrical connector plugs and the door window regulator, find out if its simply a loose electrical connection or the glass or regulators mis-aligned,or needs lubrication, at the worst replace the the window regulator

look thru the links all the info you needs included, IT SHOULD TAKE NO MORE THAN 15-20 MINUTES IF ITS A LOOSE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR AND LESS THAN AN HOUR IF YOU NEED TO REPLACE THE WHOLE REGULATOR

If you were local and purchased both a new window switch and a new regulator, Id say bring it over and in under an hour Id show you how to replace both if your willing to supply lunch!
