Watch the Combustion Process

This person has a camera that runs a 4000 fps. He also built a clear plastic head for Briggs & Stratton.
Interestingly the plastic does not show signs of melting. If you watch the whole series he uses gasoline,
alcohol, propane and nitro methane.

In the first link at 1:25 minutes in the video he slows down the combustion process such that you can
see the fuel coming into the chamber, the spark and combustion front move across the chamber.

Also note the turbulence when the combustion front bounces off the far side of the cylinder wall.
Propane slow motion combustion process at 4:25

Watch the raw fuel come in and bounce off the far side of the cylinder wall.
.....

Nitro Methane .... Watch the head gasket burn thru !!!

those are rather interesting videos, thanks
