Frankly I was sweating the IRS process this year as my wife usually handled that as until she had a stroke early last year,
she was the one who kept track of and usually did the vast majority of the financial B.S. ,
but obviously that was all dumped in my lap for this and now all subsequent years!
I decided to go the short form/ turbo tax route,
mostly because I had no idea where she had filed a great deal of the basic financial documentation
, and yeah I might of screwed up, but after following directions and only spending several hours feeling marginally suicidal, and frustrated, and with a good deal of help from my son (who is working on his doctorate in computer forensics and I.T. related areas)
(IT sure helps to raise smart kids) and pay for their college,
I got that done,(thankfully he's so darn smart) and I must have done something correctly,
because everything more or less looked similar to several previous years and the predicted refund was also going to be similar according to the predicted turbo tax results! :fingerscrossed:
so I did my part financing all those USA, military ordinance expenditures, the middle east nut jobs are mandating we spend

I've used TurboTax for years. Next year if you use TT gain, it will automaticlly load all your info that doesn't change. It will also enquire about the same W2's, investments ....etc.

Did you take the Standard Deduction or Itemize???
.

standard deductions, I had near zero items to itemize, remember I'm mostly on fixed income
