im looking for cam recomendations, i running a .030 over 350 with flat tops, stock rods, basically stock vortec heads, short headers, aluminum intake, and 4-barrel holley.keep in mind, that i am doing all this on a tight budget. i am putting this motor on my airboat and with the prop and box stup that i am running, i need to make max torque atabout 5500 rpms(only to be used in emergencies). id rather not do any machining to the heads for valve clearence, but would also like suggestions on valve springs. thanks for any help.

If I was building that application Id go with this cam, as it will produce a good power curve from about 2200rpm-5700rpm
and it will work with the stock springs and about maximize the head flow in the intended rpm range
thanks for the info gv, ill give it a try. before i order would it change you suggestion if i changed valve springs, or would you stay with that one because of valve seal clearance issues?

If I was building that engine ID use that cam, but ID also ask the cam manufacturer for their suggestion on the correct valve springs and lifter to use with that cam,and if they had any suggestions on degreeing it in,Id also ask for their opinion on the cam choice and if they had a different suggestion ID ask why and what the advantage or disadvantages of both choices would be,(like I always do)

Id also suggest
