if you look at and compare carefully the data, the very obvious conclusion, you'll be forced to come to is,
that there are obviously a great many more people who currently,
own guns that are not going to honestly answer surveys than the liberal media will admit.
and there are millions of firearms that the statistics won,t show.
and the number of firearms sold off the books is rapidly increasing.
Id doubt that the registered numbers reflect 1/2 of what exists if that.
(personally Id suspect that the registered number is significantly lower than 1/2 of reality )
example the state of florida where I live currently admits there are slightly over 3 million concealed carry licences in this state alone,
there in a second chart they say theres only about 3.5 million registered firearms,
and a third suggest that about 33% of the states population owns a weapon, there are currently about 21 million people in florida.
a much more realistic estimate would be 5-9 million florida gun owners currently, and similar errors in the nation wide estimates.
a fourth link shows there were more than 285 million back ground checks done for registered firearm purchases in the U.S.A since 1998 alone
yet there were at least 27 million back ground checks last year alone.
a fifth chart shows that there has been almost 300 million guns manufactured and sold in the USA since about the year 2000.
keep in mind you could purchase of more than one gun per back ground check,
and there would be no reason to go through a back ground check unless you wanted to purchase a gun, and the vast majority of checks do result in a sale.
Id also point out that a significant percentage of used guns are sold face-to-face without records being kept.
a significant percentage of gun sales are not on the books simply because many people don,t trust government or want to be on some list for future confiscation.
the statistics, on gun ownership are very obviously MUCH lower than reality,
and its all too obvious many people who own guns will no longer answer media questionnaires honestly,
for what should be for most of us, obvious reasons
