while Id personally rather have a v12 or a v8 the number of cylinders is not as important to me as the hp/tq numbers the engine produced,
a healthy turbo v6 or even an in-line 6 would be fine in a corvette if the hp/tq curve was impressive
I REALLY wish they offered the all aluminum big blocks in the EFI versions with 502 and 540,572 displacement sizes , and six speed manual transmissions that could handle 800 ft lbs of torque personally.
with a nostalgic EFI designed intake similar to this
BUT ... Realistically if they put a decent displacement sized 4-or 6 cylinder in a corvette, with a turbo(s) and it had 550-600hp/ 600 ft lbs of torque, how many guys would be all that worried about how it was produced
