would you buy a corvette if it had a v4 or v6 rather than v8

while Id personally rather have a v12 or a v8 the number of cylinders is not as important to me as the hp/tq numbers the engine produced,
a healthy turbo v6 or even an in-line 6 would be fine in a corvette if the hp/tq curve was impressive
I REALLY wish they offered the all aluminum big blocks in the EFI versions with 502 and 540,572 displacement sizes , and six speed manual transmissions that could handle 800 ft lbs of torque personally.

BUT ... Realistically if they put a decent displacement sized 4-or 6 cylinder in a corvette, with a turbo(s) and it had 550-600hp/ 600 ft lbs of torque, how many guys would be all that worried about how it was produced

I'd buy a Vette with NO motor if the price was right, but yeah give me a twin turbo 6 and I'd be good. Or what about a rotory? How bout this "Rumoured" Vette http://www.motorauthority.com/pictures/ ... #100303235. or this 6 cylinder Vette motor http://www.53classicchevy.com/engines.html Lets not forget the first few years Were 6 Bangers 108hp with the Powerglide.Big tech for back then. Or this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1BDguHIZNss ,or this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_JQ-UiRV ... re=related. Boy that C4 sounds mean! Lets try it!! . Thing is I like my Vette the way it is, And unless the motor was gone, I like keeping them as close to stock as possible with numbers matching, so they are Investments for my GrandKids. I do want to find a junker though and drop in an ole Jet Turbine one of these days.

For once, I am being stubborn... V8 possible V10... in my screwed up opinion... anything else has no place between the fenders of a corvette

I USED to think that even if it was a pedal powered 'vette I would drive it. Not so! Took all the smog crap off my 79 l48, put true dual exhaust on it, and built a 350 bored 30 over with all new internals, heads, cam etc.

Not the biggest beast in the world, but to put in a V6 or lesser engine would kill the fun for sure.

What if... You had just enough $$$$ to buy a used warrantied v6 or v8... But the v6's torque curve was all around higher than the v8... What would you do?
