I was out this morning doing the rather typical
"honey-do-me a favor" crap,
that most of us married guys are all too familiar with..

I,t was raining lightly early in the day, and when I left the house, so I took my 1996 corvette out for the short trip.

I got out on southern BLVD, just cruising at about 50 mph
(remember its lightly raining the streets are wet and theres very little traffic at least where I am at the time)a lot like this picture I found posted else ware.
hywayf.png

the posted speed limits 55 MPH but I'm in no hurry and I hate getting too close to other cars and trucks under those road conditions, as the tires on the vehicle's usually tend to throw muddy water soaked, micro- trash on the corvette.
any way the young kid in a newer mustang pulls up beside me and starts revving his engine and indicating he wants to street race....., after a few tries he gives up as I don,t show the least interest.
(I'm a bit too old ,I've seen too many accidents, I have zero to prove, especially to some moron I don,t know, with what sounds like a stock mustang, and racing on wet pavement on public streets is just asking for problems anyway!)
he pulled well ahead, maybe 1/8 mile, he pulls ahead and tries similar crap with some smaller convertible sports car I didn,t recognize, but I think it was a BMW ,or MAZDA , anyway they both hit the throttle hard, may be getting up to 70-80 mph, and within seconds the sports cars retractable top ,which must not have been properly locked in place, suddenly pops partly open like its about to retract, it obviously scared the crap out of the driver as he hit the brakes hard and he did a 360 and found himself on the side of the road....(probably needing new briefs) it didn,t appear to have done any damage to the car. after regaining his composure for a couple second he pulled back on the road and took off down the street.
I was grinning just watching IDIOTS AT PLAY! as by that time he was pulling out close to me as I came along and the mustang had just kept going!
