I have 80 psi Hot Oil Pressure with the 350 TBI Engine I built.
Quiet.
Running smooth on all 8 cylinders .
Cold startup oil pressure is over 100 psi.
I used a Melling M55A oil pump.
1967-1970-1/2 Z28 oil pump.
Bone stock.
Checked took it apart.
.002 gear endplay to bottom cover.
ARP Race oil pump driveshaft.
.0015" main & rod bearing clearances.
I used .001 " over sized Vandervell Lead Indium Babbit Main & Rod Bearings.
Red Cleavite Bearing Guard Assembly lube.
My luck with this much oil pressure it would be blowing oil out every seal and gasket it could find. Never thought an engine ever needed more than 40psi when hot, even with a larger oil pan/capacity. Mfgrs. specs never called for that much, I don't think.
