Question is how do you determine if a single plane with MPFI is better than a dual plan with TBI?

I have a stock zz502 and it seems a dual plane would be more appropriate for this engine, yet MPFI seems like a better system. Advice? I realize that a few people have converted dual planes to MPFI set ups, but that seems like the exception.

with a mild cam and a 5800rpm peak rpm, your highly unlikely to benefit much from a single plane intake as most are designed to maximize power produced at or above 4500rpm, most MPFI intakes use single plane intake designs because its easier to machine injector locations if all the runners are the same height where the intake runners enter the cylinder heads, and because individual runners with its own dedicated injector allows better fuel/air ration control, in each cylinder, I can,t think of a single commercial available big block MPFI dual plane intake, and because if your using oval port heads the normal reduction in air flow speeds is not as critical, so the use of a single plane intake is still a reasonable option.
remember much of the dual plane advantage you see with carburetor intakes results from the much faster air speeds in the intake plenum and runners , that helps keep fuel in suspension, where a MPFI intakes design isolates the injectors supply fuel in each runner making much of the advantage of the dual plane design UN-necessary to keep the fuel distribution even, the single planes larger plenum provides less restriction at the upper rpm range where its straighter runners tend to provide lower flow rate restrictions
Ive had reasonably good results with these, but obviously youll need the correct controller, fuel rails, throttle body and injectors
