heavy fluted barrels provide a good compromise in weight,
more rapid cooling and stiffness thus increased repeatable accuracy,
with good ammo and longer barrel life expectancy.
it should be obvious you need to get a couple hundred high quality hand loads or factory ammo,
cartridges and at least 6 quality METAL not plastic magazines
basically duplicate or clone a colt H-BAR in you first AR15 rifle,
a true H-bar would cost $1500-$2300 but you can build a better clone ,
if you shop carefully for under $1100 probably under $870

I've always been into hunting rifles more than military designs, so please bare with my partial lack of info, yes I think everyone should own a semi auto clone of a military rifle, personally I think the FAL, or M1A in 308 win, are ideal options, and yes the AR15 is very popular, but it lacks...
