Ok, I'll start with the detailed break down...

LT1, 355
CR 8.7:1 ish
Stock heads for now
Stock intake and TB for now
T70 / .96 a/r should hit full boost at or around 3500rpm or so
turbo 350 tranny (3500 stall?) no brake
3.54:1 gears
26" tire
1.6 comp rr SA
crane springs and retainers
vehicle weight around 3000lbs with driver

This setup will be driven on the street (weekends)

I downloaded the camquest software and came up with this... http://store.summitracing.com/partdetai ... D8&FROM=MG any thoughts?

your probably better off with a slightly lower duration and wider lsa with a ramp design thats easy on the valve train,DESIGNED for a turbo, like a CRANE 104241

with that other cam you'll be blowing half the charge out the exhaust and not making the same mid rpm or upper rpm power with a turbo.

YES IM FULLY AWARE you think the specs are too mild, trust me, you'll be impressed, its not necessary to use long duration or high lift to get what your looking for in a turbo combo, and the 116 LSA and limited exhaust duration is far better matched to the turbo, what is mandatory is a lot of instant response and a wide massive tq curve, and complete DURABILITY ON THE STREET WITHOUT PROBLEMS, boost the psi up in the 10-12 psi range and IDEALLY use an inter cooler, with decent octane fuel and you might be very surprised at the power you can make with that cam. and your 1.6:1 ratio rockers help

you might want to read thru this thread also but remember a TURBO combo will tend to want less duration and lift than a N/A combo and surely less EXTRA exhaust duration and a wider LSA

Awsome! I put that cam on the wishlist and remove the CompCam.

Just out of curiosity with the 116 LSA it should have a relatively decent idle or am I off base there? I'm just curious to see if it will still have a little lope at idle cause I gotta have that... hahaa

Ohh and yes it is intercooled... I hope the bottom end will hold 10-12psi kinda sketchy with the factory rods but I do have ARP bolts which should help.

And that was fast!! Thanks so much!

between the turbo and the wide LSA on the cam, and the low compression ratio of the engine, the LOPE won,t be IMPRESSIVE but it will run well and it won,t sound stock.

BTW FOR THOSE GUYS THAT MISSED THE PICTURES HE POSTED

Alright I should be ordering the cam in the next week or so. What do I need to degree the cam in at? I want to be sure I set this thing up right the first time.

Thanks Grumpy!
