" GRUMPY? what would be a good cam choice for my 400 SBC in my pick-up truck, right now its a stock motor with a wieand stealth intake and 750 cfm carb with a turbo 400 tranny.Im wanting to make the truck into something i can enter mud runs and pulls with (street stock) but i dont want anything to extreme cause i still want to be able to have it as a daily driver if i need to. it would help a great deal to know your tire diam.if your using headers, the trucks weight, and rear gear ratio,yes the rest of the info can be guessed at if its stock, with reasonable accuracy but those factors being known help.
I can tell you Ive used this cam in many similar builds where guys want a good boost over the stock cam but still demand all the stock accessories work with excellent results.
if the engines nearly stock its a great choice,in many applications as a replacement for the stock cam, as its easily 30 plus hp more than the stock cam yet functions with the stock springs, converter, brakes etc.and the stealth intake and carb only help here
