I stopped at a typical small used car sales lot because they had a rather nice looking 4 x 4 truck up front on display
It was a 2009 ford F250 crew cab 4x4 with about a 3" lift kit and bigger tires, and only 46,000 miles
I asked what the asking price was..........
to my amazement they wanted.....$39,999K
now thats an 8 year old truck, and you can damn sure buy something similar brand new for about $56K or less from what I,ve seen advertised .... now I'm not able to swing either option due to the fact I'm supporting both my home and my older son and his family but too me that price seemed absurd, so I did some local research and found several similar trucks listed in the $30-$34K range.....still in my opinion, amazingly high priced.
I'd love to find a 2009 or newer, 4x4 avalanche, but a crew cab 4x4 f250 at the right price would be ok, in my opinion also

Truck prices are crazy so are car prices thank all the lobbiest with money invested into all the mandated features forced into vehicles. It is hard pressed to get a car under 20,000 decent used

I was looking at a used ford 150 a 2013 with 40,000 miles and needed 4 tires the dealer wanted 40 k for it. I wanted certain things on the truck ext. cab the Ecoboost motor etc. On New Years Eve I was going somewhere and stopped at another dealer they had a new truck with everything I wanted on it and more the window sticker said 54,000 I talked to the salesman and they came down to 35,000 and threw it a ton of extras bedliner, weather tech mats etc. So I bought a new truck 2015 it was going to be 2016 the next day but it was still a new truck. What really got me pissed is the first dealer did a search of trucks and told me there wasn't a truck like I wanted within a 500 mile area and the dealers are about 10 miles apart. BTW that Ecoboost motor is great and on my trip to Florida on the way to Key West I was getting 33.4 MPG
