I was recently over at a friends home and asked to diagnose a problem,
he was having starting a 1990, TPI, corvette,I asked if he had a fuel pressure gauge to test the fuel rail pressure?
he stated he had just purchased one from HF, he hooked it up to the shrader valve, he tried to start the car and raw fuel was spraying all over, because the quick connect on the fuel pressure gauge leaked like a screen door in a thunder storm,
until I disassembled it and installed an O-ring , from a selection I keep on hand.
if your going to buy and use a fuel injection pressure test gauge ,
be aware most of the connectors, in the kits hoses,
are missing the MANDATORY REQUIRED O-RINGS
you can get a decent random assortment, of O-rings,
for less than $60 at HF
and you may be amazed at how often its handy to have around,
if your getting some for the shop inventory
be aware the materials vary,
some are used for oil, fuel,Freon, higher temps etc,
but they are not all interchangeable

these must be installed or a sealant used on the threads or the fuel rail tester,
will start spraying pressurized fuel every place.. a huge fire hazard.
Ive seen several guys buy and try to use the fittings and test gauges and get fuel spray everyplace.
