Orphan Wires

Attempting to return order to the rats nest of electrical wires on the firewall around the general area of the wiper motor (‘70 ‘Vette).
I’m finding wires that are not connected and no apparent place to re-connect them. Also, having a difficult time identifying the color wire with the charts for this car. When I bought the car the only thing electrical that didn’t work was a few random dash lights. All the wiring looks old and original and nothing was added on that’s not factory. What can I do besides hide those wires and forget about them.

ps, tracing the wires to their origin is very difficult as they run into the firewall and I can’t find them on the other side.

if you have a 1970 corvette wire loom chart and can,t locate what the wires go to,
theres a chance the wires in the loom are for an accessory or optional factory equipment,
your car does not have installed

My 70 is long gone but wonder if the stick or automatic used the same harness ? or cp or vert also ?

I didn’t think about those situations. Some I have to clean first just to make out what the real color is.
