Paging Grumpy, valve spring question.

Quick question for your opinion!

I have read through numerous threads here, and know that to reduce cam wear less spring pressure is ideal. That said, what are your thoughts on this?

I am installing a cam - Crane 113942 I am also installing comp cam pro mag 1.6 roller rockers. (factory 113 heads)

The crane site is down now (likely because they are out of business) and I can't find the recommended spring however the 114132 is very similar and Crane recommends the following springs -
Installed Height (in) 1.700 in.
Seat Pressure at Installed Height (lbs) 114 lbs.
Open Height (in) 1.200 in.
Open Pressure (lbs) 340 lbs.

I already have the following springs -
Installed Height (in) 1.750 in.
Seat Pressure at Installed Height (lbs) 125 lbs.
Open Height (in) 1.200 in.
Open Pressure (lbs) 325 lbs.

Would these be ok to use?

the springs you have now should be just fine provided they actually ARE installed with the correct clearances and they DO have those load rates

Ive always asked the cam manufacturer if I needed different springs ,if you ask several different cam manufacturers and they all suggest you need to upgrade springs with cams having a similar lift & duration its a fairly safe bet that the stock springs won,t work, and IVE always carefully checked clearances, and replaced the springs and retainers with lighter weight components of better quality when I swapped to the valve springs that are suggested to be used by the cam manufacturer or to something similar in load rate in a bee-hive design valve spring.
ID suggest you talk to your cam manufacturer, and take there advice to heart, in most cases their goal is to have your engine run trouble free and produce more hp, so they don,t want you having problems and telling your friends THEIR cams SUCK, as a result they generally will try to give you good basis advice if asked
but you will occasionally find your talking to some guy that have little to zero practical knowledge, so read thru these threads
if you don,t think use of the correct valve springs and rockers matters heres the dyno results on a 496 BBC chevy engine with a new set of valve springs and roller rockers, obviously if correctly selected, they can make a difference
