now obviously its worth the time to research and shop for car maintenance insurance and check up on the quality of that service and how readily its accepted by the dealerships you deal with, and you can expect to pay between 10% and 15% of the cars cost for a bumper to bumper 100k-120K 5-6 year warranty.

IVE rarely failed to save money, in the long run, with extended warranty's, the cost may be high but bye the time you rack up 100K-150k on a car something expensive usually does go bad, that would cost more than the policy, if you were paying full shop cost to have it repaired yourself, just simple stupid stuff like the dash gauges failing or a trans failing can cost close to 1-3k or more

Ive RARELY thought the dealers made money on the deal in the long run, and remember I can easily do most of my own repairs/maintenance work
NO! GET THE 100K 5 years or LONGER contract if its offered!
just CAREFULLY document ALL your maintenance, oil changes, brakes, fluid replacements ETC. and keep DETAILED logs and receipts with names and places because if you don,t they try to say crap that goes bad was the result of lack of proper maintenance, it makes them crazy when you have detailed documentation that everything was done exactly according to the owners manual or even more frequently and you have receipts especially several inches thick stacks of receipts documenting everything done to the car that THEY SIGNED
