bits of pontiac tech you may not know

Did you bring the 1970 455 Home Richard. ?
Does it run ?
Is it complete ?

I'm in Utah. Sitting outside of court right now. The idiot that claimed bankruptcy for his business let the Sheriff catalog my car as inventory and turned it over to the court's trustee. Late yesterday the Sheriff was notified that I had the car moved and it's against the law to move levied property so they had a warrant issued for me. I had to come to answer for the warrant and get my car on a transit. It's funny but I'm also a Federal Court Trustee for the North Eastern District so they cleared me, but I still have to deal with the local judge.
I haven't picked up the 70 motor yet, I need to make some notes for the engine casting and decode the numbers, I don't need a mis-matched collection of parts.

WOW! the "FUN NEVER STOPS "
while I have limited experience dealing with similar issues,
I know from that limited experience you can very easily loose anything, you happen to own,
that was being worked on, that was on a business property, when they go bankrupt.
and depending on who your forced to deal with they cam be very unreasonable,
even if you have documentation that a car or components were not part of the business inventory,
one more reason I've stressed the need to photograph,
list,in detail, date and document work orders, costs and expected work details and expected delivery dates

Ok Richard.
You Love Adventures like me.

I am building a 1500+ HP Dart LSNX Engine today.
C6 Vette bound in the shop.
Sharing pics with my Bud Junk.

Update for the RAIV intake. I emailed and left messages for the seller saying it was just brought to my attention that theses intakes are being reproduced and are very difficult to distinguish them from the originals. I need to do my due diligence as this is not just a minor amount.
The seller got mad. Who wouldn't do the same? I thought I did better than most and let the seller know, I could have done nothing and left him hanging.
Anyway, he amended his ad and put in a casting date and stating this is a real original not a reproduction intake.

At this time my decision is to hold up for the time being. My 1st intent was to start gathering certain desirable parts for my GTO or if I can find the correct car that is missing correct parts.
Just for safety's sake and I can't complete my plans, find it's too difficult or too expensive I'd like to hedge this endeavor by only purchasing genuine parts at reasonable prices. I believe the price of this intake is ambitious for the seller and too high to hope to ever recover down the road. Any thoughts, opinions?

If you're a cross country trucker, you're going to see more traffic than the average person traveling to and from work. I wear a lot of different hats, involved with many different people on a daily basis and so I get exposed to a lot more strange situations.
I thought these guys were flush with money. They seem to have David Candigit as some sort of support for turning work their way and my project should have been easy enough as they completed the same work on the same car last year that won great awards and made the cover of 2 important car mags.
My advice to anyone handing their car over to anyone or any business for long term work - make up a simple agreement that this [. Car. ], VIN number [xxxxxxxxxxx] is owned by [xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] is under agreement for repairs and restorations as outlined and signed by all parties involved and unless by written agreement from said owner, this vehicle can not be confiscated, attach any lien, considered as inventory or removed from agreed location(s).
This is just an example, change as you see fit or see an attorney. Some legal ez language and prewritten forms are available on the Internet you need to search on your own. Refer to individual state laws as to what you can say or ask for in such agreements.
You shouldn't have resistance from any reputable service provider as this is harmless to them or their business and is self evident of it's purpose. The service provider should have their own payment protection in the service agreement.

How much does he want Richard ?

What is the casting date ?

Its a 1972 455 HO intake manifold by the GM Part number on it.

keep in mind most of the pontiac factory cylinder heads
were designed to produce excellent lower and mid rpm torque not peak hp.
yeah ram air V and a few others are exceptions but they are nearly impossible to locate now
the aftermarket has a few 215cc-230cc intake port aluminum heads are available
edelbrock, butler performance ,speed master and trickflow all make, or made pontiac heads
