I have noticed the parts stores worm gear hose clamps are not what they used to be for quality.
Can strip out easy.
1 day fail without notice.
Frustrating issue.
Fixed a cooling system leak on my Pontiac early today, thought the 4 year old Griffin radiator failed.
Loose worm gear Hose clamp found spraying coolant driving at high speeds.
They are pricey each but the very best I know from the Diesel engine world.
They maintain torque you set them at.
Short of -16 & -2+ AN stainless braided radiator hoses think best alternative to the Worm gear Hose clamps.
Not pretty but perfect for a 100% driver and need fully reliable Zero failures desired.
