I'm beginning to think the current flat tappet cam, especially if its the
crane made cams for a company named
Golen with that 115835 number
230/230 .480/.480 110
I think it is is indexed incorrectly or maybe factory defective in the way it was ground
as it should have decent power/torque even at 2000-2500 rpm with the manual transmission
the
Lunati cam should noticeably increase power
Voodoo 20120711
https://www.lunatipower.com/voodoo-retro-fit-hydraulic-roller-cam-chevrolet-small-block-270-278.html
Duration @ .050 (Int/Exh): 219/227;
Gross Valve Lift (Int/Exh): .515/.530;
LSA/ICL: 112/106; Valve Lash (Int/Exh)
just as the CROWER CAM SHOULD
https://www.crower.com/searchresults/?part_num=00467&x=10&y=7
either of those two options should,
if properly installed boost your lower rpm and mid rpm power noticeably
my crane 119661 (info linked above in the thread) has no lack of off idle power and it has considerably more duration,
than either of those choices and with a manual transmission you have much more flexibility
