Horsepower chain book

Looks like great reading.
Kind of pricey to buy the book and CD software new.
Sure its worth the $149 asking price.

Brian

that looks like it might be interesting, to read thru but I don,t see spending that amount on a book as an easy budget deduction for most of us,
looking at the link I see the actual price is $97, lets get 5 of us to kick in $20 each and Ill be the first guy, to say Ill kick in and order it if I get 4 of you to contribute $20 each to the site then we can pass the book around, among the contributors like we do with the other Reher-Morrison book.
if you want to do that just put a note on any contribution stating who you are and that the donations for the book purchase?
hows that sound?

remember if your site nick name is "big block AL", and the donation comes in from "BOBBY SMITH" I have zero chance of mentally connecting the two!

That's exactly what I was thinking.. I'm in.

I hope more guys read thru this thread!
because eventually , the results might prove to be very informative.
be aware the guy that wrote or promotes the software for
Engine Analyzer 'Pro
has a good deal of input in this
http://www.auto-ware.com/software/eap/eap.htm

GUYS it might help if we see if you and I can get a few new guys to joint the site ,
a bit more traffic on the site and viewing this thread, and we should be more likely to have more traffic in all the threads and see more guys posting.
As soon as we get two more guys donating for the book Ill order it and Ill mail it out to the first guy in the order it was donated for and when hes done, reading and taking notes, he can move it on to the next guy in line.

I'm pretty sure Grumpyvette wants to see the money in his account before
he orders, so just saying your in, will not put you in the loop for the five
people that get the book. Besides it's only right!

So when you make your donation, be sure to add a note with your specific
information.......like below for example.

If you can wait till this coming Friday, I will donate $20 for the book too.

Brian

well were getting much closer, I bet will get the last two required donations soon, Ive got a good bit of personal curiosity built up to read thru it and see if I pick up some new valid info, and then I,ll send it on to the next contributor in the chain, I,m sure between all the people looking thru it ,its sure to generate a bit of useful discussions.
don,t forget Ill need the real mailing address and name of contributors to make out a mailing list to print out, to insert with the boxed book.
if youve donated send me a personal message with that info along with the name you use on site, Ill verify and put you on the list

There are 4 people that have posted to this thread. It might be helpful if you listed those that have made the list, there might be some confusion that needs to be cleared up.

Are you wanting the $20 donation before you order?

I have my $20 ready to donate for the book purchase ready to send out Via Paypal.
I need an email address to send.
Searched the donation thread, found no address to send to.

Is this book written by Curtis Levington?
If it is, it will be great reading for all of us here.
I have his original Dynomotion software book.
Great engine operating theory and he explains in detail that us non engineers can understand.

Brian

Its done Rick.
Thanks for the link.
Your T-bucket looking great.
Ready to assemble Dorians CS144 alternator.
Try and complete this evening.
Start a thread and get pictures up to check out.

Hey I will donate 20 bucks to the cause.

great! don,t forget , when any one makes a donation, to add your on-site name, and your real name and real mailing address
Ill paste a list of contributors in the box when I mail out the book so when each persons read it it can be mailed to the next contributor to look thru, and Ill start posting info as soon as I get it, each person can read thru and add what they think is important info to discuss, or ask questions about

Okay Grumpy, I put in my donation, I know the book is probably already paid in full. But I think this is a more worthwhile than spending 20 bux on a game website. I get info, learn, gain new friends, and am going to have a real kick butt 400 because of the approach to engine building this site and others have taught me. So Cheers to you Grumpy! Dang I didn't get it in the info on the donation. I sent you a pm with my address. And what email address the paypal is coming from Paul.

Not sure where I am on the list, but I won't have time for the book until the end of summer. So put me at the bottom somewhere.

Ill be mailing the book and included CD out to BYTOR in the next couple days along with a list of contributors and addresses so the book can make the rounds and we can all read thru it.
HERES MY BRIEF BOOK REPORT,
I will point out that the books mostly based on the ENGINE ANALYZER SOFTWARE and that its my impression that its not going to make much sense to the non-engineer or math based readers in some areas as the author tends to assume the reader understands a good deal thats not explained in detail.
Now for the $20 I and several others put into this its well worth the price,as its got useful info, but If Id paid the $105 dollars it cost with shipping and didn,t already have both the ENGINE ANALYZER SOFTWARE on my computer and an engineers math back ground I have a feeling much of the books info is going to be difficult to grasp, for some readers and If I was purchasing this book without that back ground and support software to look thru I doubt I would think the $105 spent was a good value
