has anyone installed aftermarket seats, or seats from a differant car to replace the the original seats,
in thier car and found them to be what they were looking for IE an improvement over the cars original seats?
(salvage yards frequently give you a decent deal on used seats out of cars that they have ,btw)
now I know for example that the seats in a datsun truck I once owned were HORRIBLE, I got a great deal on seats from a wrecked audi and while I needed to weld up custom brackets to get them installed they where a HUGE improvement in comfort.
on my old 1968 vette the original seats were so worn, when I bought the car, I replaced them with RECARO SEATS
THEY WERE SIGNIFICANTLY LIGHTER IN WEIGHT AND SUPPORTED YOU FAR BETTER UNDER SIDE WAYS G-LOADS ,the ones I installed in my 1968 gave about an extra inch and a half of additional head room which was very much appreciated as Im 6'3" tall and about 270lbs but read the specs carefully as some are much narrower in the BUTT width clearance than others, so you may need the wider or narrower versions
OBVIOUSLY YOUR NOT LIMITED TO A SINGLE BRAND NAME EITHER
heres some in a later model corvette
