ASR Off Light

Not sure if this is the right sub-forum, but if not feel free to move it as needed.

My 92 has been exhibiting some wierd behavior with the ASR Off light. It will occasionally come on when the system is engaged and it seems to flicker with the bouncing of the car. Other times it functions as expected. A quick search through the service manual doesn't seem to describe anything matching this description. I was thinking maybe it was a sensor somewhere but it looks like there are codes for failures in the various sensors associated with the ASR system. No codes are stored after this occurs either and I have not seen the service engine soon or the Service ASR lights come on. The Brake lamp on the dash is normal as well. But for good measure I have verified the brake fluid is full and the pedal feels fine.

If anybody has any thoughts that would be great.

Thanks,

If after adjusting the TPS and IAC and the tv cable linkage to the transmission from the throttle body and inspecting the brakes etc. and if your not pulling trouble codes that lead to the source,
you'll need a shop manual to trace the wiring, the most common cause is loose, broken or corrosion on the wiring connectors in the engine compartments ,The connections being loose or corroded on the Throttle position sensor is a common cause for the ABS/ASR light to come one when its going bad or connections get loose.
Unplug it,inspect it carefully and put some dielectric grease on the connector, and verify the pins are connecting well.
