"One test is worth a thousand expert opinions."
You are like me - you can do almost everything well. And what you don't know, you pick up very easily.
Doing the same thing over and over gets very boring for us - very quickly.
I'm an Electronic Technician at the post office. The machines process the mail. People feed the mail into the machines. Virtually
no thinking involved. Can train a monkey to do it - and better. Not the kind of job me or you could stand. I fix the machines
when they break. Otherwise I'm doing things to keep my brain active like reading Grumpy's, read CarCraft & CHP, the newspaper,
find parts for my car on ebay, etc. It's what I would do in my daily life, but I get those things done in work and get paid at the same
time. So that leaves me free to do the hard work around my house, and "relax" in work. I'm on here now instead of 2 am because I
broke my ankle 2 weeks ago. No problem - paid sick time.
The post office defines stupidity. The people there, especially management are on a level even you couldn't imagine.
Years ago, the place got to me so bad (stress) that I had to make a decision..... I said to myself, "Can you come in here every day and
operate within the "box" that is your job and be OK with it? It is not my job to run the place. Every time a decision has to be made,
they constantly choose the absolute worst one. Can you be OK with that? You are there to collect a paycheck. If not, then you need to quit."
So I learned to be OK with it, and am on my 18th year. And I hope to retire early.
