the torqer 2 is in my experience a single plane intake thats design was to allow max hood clearance, its, only use is due to its low height and hood clearance, Ive seen several dyno test where its only a minor improvement over the stock low rise dual plane factory intake manifold.
my B.I.L. has one on his big block 1974 454 corvette
and its only been a minor improvement over the stock intake manifold.
if you want decent power you,ll get and use either a decent dual plane intake design like the edelbrock air gap or weiand air strike, if the engines combo is designed to run most of the time below 5500rpm, or a good single plane intake if the engine combo is using the components to run in the 4000 rpm-7500 rpm range where that single plane intake design has well proven benefits
obviously the intake is functional, but its hardly a good max performance choice in my opinion
IF you want max performance youll need decent hood clearance,and direct port EFI, to allow intake runners with a direct path from throttle body to intake valve in a strait line

with some thought and fabrication skill a dual quad EFI tunnel ram is easily set up with twin 4 barrel throttle bodys

keep in mind that the newer self learning computer software available,
potentially makes the twin throttle body EFI on the cross ram, in line or tunnelram intake a far more,
realistic and much easier to tune induction system, now than it was in the 1960s-90s

THE most common mistake, most guys make when doing calculations is use of the wrong data , you may have sellected two 750cfm carbs on a tunnel ram and expect them to flow 1500 cfm, but the fact is each of the two carbs now shares a comon plenum on one engine so the vacume each individual carb venturies sees is reduced significantly, OR
if you were to sellect individual runner mechanical or EFI stack injection, when you select "Individual Runner fuel injection"in the calculation , each runner feeds a single cylinder, again this fails to use the correct calculation, individual runners acting as a ram tub must be significantly larger because they induce a pulsed or ram, inertial flow.
you can,t use the carb cfm, info, thats simply failing to use the correct flow calculations

ID also point out that torque curve could easily be enhanced with individual runner stack injection

BTW I HAD A LONG DISCUSSION WITH THE ENGINEERS AT KINSLER FUEL INJECTION,
THE HORIZONTAL FUEL INJECTION MANIFOLD IS RATHER AIRFLOW RATE, RESTRICTIVE,
COMPARED TO THE VERTICAL STACK VERSION<
EASILY COSTING YOU OVER 70 HP at PEAK POTENTIAL
if your building a serious larger displacement BBC engine combo

this is the result of failing to realize each
Individual Runner,
easily flows easily 320cfm to 450 cfm
(depending on each individual ram tube and throttle bore size )
UNLIKE a carburator which will have a listed
(and basically useless flow rating)
thus the minimum CFM youll use in the calculations is more than likely in the 320 x 8 or 2560cfm-to-3600 cfm flow range
so put 2600 cfm in for a SBC and 3200 CFM in for a BBC individual runner FUEL INJECTION INTAKE CONFIG

NOTICE THE BBC FUEL INJECTION LIST A 3" BORE thats 7 SQ INCHES
trust me the larger bore flows significantly more air

larger intake manifold plenum volume TENDS to allow higher rpms
throttle body efi acts like a carb, as the injectors dump fuel/air in the plenum

direct port fuel injection has a separate, individual fuel injector feeding each cylinder, the plenum essentially runs mostly dry air free of fuel

to maximize hood clearance on the 1970 bbc chevelle and some rectangle port bbc engines in corvettes they used a special low rise intake design
BTW heres the factory extra low profile rectangular port intake, while it provides good hood clearance its easily costing you 20 plus horse power over several similar low profile intakes , and easily 30 less than many high rise intake designs
