did you use a degree wheel to index it in the instal process?
while your at that verify the lobe index

there's a better chance you've installed the cam incorrectly than its defective,
so verify your install, TDC, valve to piston clearance ETC.
IF YOU DON'T HAVE A DEGREE WHEEL and DIAL INDICATOR WITH STAND GET A DECENT ONE
I generally suggest ERSON and CROWER , I used to use CRANE a great deal, from what IVE seen LUNATI is decent also
