Hi, Paul here - aka LukesVette. I stumbled upon your site while researching a carb issue and I think the first hit may be the answer to my problem - which is a Quickfuel 830 SS carb dieseling on my 406 SBC. I may have over adjusted the primary float - it's a little past halfway up the site glass, which is the same time the dieseling started to occur. Fuel pressure is ~6.5.
Going to adjust the float tonight and see if that works. Also double checking the transfer slots. But I do have a question: With the primary and secondary throttle blades set correctly and timing where it should be, how do I raise the idle RPM? I have read that some folks adjust the secondaries, but wouldn't that start to mess with the 4 corner idle circuitry?
Thanks
Paul
