I generally keep just a steno pad with a spring binder that a pen slips in and an envelope on the back for invoices, dealer work orders and parts receipts for each car, keep it in the glove compartment and write down oil changes, mileage , brake jobs, etc, and throw the receipts in the envelope
the envelpe taped to the back of the pad for reciepts and invoices work orders is a real help, but remember to keep notes and dates on both the pad and paperwork so the dates match, one real P.I,T.A. is that many reciepts are written on paper thats DESIGNED to fade over time so you can,t read them, make quality copys, and keep them at home in a file if you can.
