I had to get out of the house tonight, went to look at car for someone on another forum as it was so close to me. A screwy character with 88 handguns and about another 20 or so various other guns and riffles hanging on the walls of his garage. This house was in a neighborhood developement with front entry garage doors on his house. I held back from looking interested, intrigued would be a better word. The initial reason for me being there wasn't going well so I then switched the subject. "Aren't you worried people can see your guns? Don't the insurance companies require you to keep them under lock and key?"
He has tall stacks of gun catalogs everywhere. Then I noticed these guns (some that I could see) had solid barrels or shallow drilled holes at the barrel ends. It's getting dark out and his well lit garage just says "Hey neighbor's, look what I have!"
We talked again about his car and parts, but he blurts out "I can't have real guns so I collect the non functional replicas."
You have to really love guns to go in that direction, and they are not cheap either! This guy thinks he'll be left alone if the word is out he has all these guns. He made sure any pictures I could take didn't catch the back wall of the garage. Some strange people out there!
