btw no mater how clean the filter maintains the oil its still degrading over time due to heat and wear on the component molecules and additives being consumed
and if its removing the fine soot its very restrictive to flow and likely to require frequent replacement

as a general rule change your oil and oil filter every 7-9 thousand miles and use good oil check your owners manual and use a good oil filter brand
