Lead Hardness question

solid fixture here in the forum
A friend gave me a couple coffee cans full of used lead shot do you think it would be ready to load for 40 S&W and 45 ACP as far as hardness goes

adding at least 4% TIN by weight to the bird shot alloy you use in the melted shot will result in a much better quality bullet cast and used

in south fla, where I spent most of my life ... winter rarely drags on for more than 48 hours..
winter in fla is anytime the temps remain under 40F :like: obviously Im having to adjust to TEXAS:facepalm:
 
yes older larger caliber , cast bullets like you may use in 44-45-50 caliber revolvers and rifles like the 45/70 might be older tech, but they are lethal and effective
