registration is always proposed as a way to reduce crime, or violence
yet THAT stated goal is NEVER about accomplishing a reduction in crime, it was never REALLY intended to,
and it's rarely even marginally effective,or useful to law enforcement.

REGISTRATION + PLUS TIME, + EQUALS EVENTUAL CONFISCATION
the time is always based on what the political elites goals are,
and what ever emotional excuse can be used to mandate that goals implementation!
for any government to have total control over the civilian population,
gun confiscation is always a mandator first step
the push for sense-able and consistent country wide gun laws
