if you have a manual muncie transmission ,in your muscle car, chances are good that your either using either the factory shifter or something like the hurst shifter thats been used as an upgrade of decades
theres dozens of different designs and even competing brands of shifters
most hurst shifter balls sell for $30-$60 thats INSANE in the case of the ones that don,t have internal switches , any one with a decent drill press and some J&B weld and a brass or steel female thread insert can turn darn near any object into a shifter nob.
I know several guys that converted pool/billard balls
I have no idea why, but at one time these were popular
