I had a very rough time starting my car after a few weeks of non use + 5 degrees F.
It popped through the carb and ignited that crummy pro-flow foam filter.
carb backfire, use more fuel when cold starting (pump some fuel in with the gas pedal/accelerator pump and try to set the choke more rich if its going to cold start often) .
At 0° to -40°F its best to use a coolant/oil heater
I ran around and immediately ripped it out of the car and a few bits of burning foam landed on my face. Grmbl!!!! Might leave a scar. Great!
No more foam filter in the futur? My paper element filter dont burn up even under heavy carb backfire
