WANT the ultimate combo, well, light weight, huge brakes and a high power to weight ratio, with impressive looks sure helps, heres one good suggestion if youve got a thick wallet and some fabrication skills, keep in mind that if built correctly the cobra kit car can easily be 800-1000lbs lighter than many corvettes.
Ok, how about the AC COBRA KITS
you could drop 1000 lbs, under the comon camaros, chevelles, road runners and fairlanes, drop in an chevy LS series engine and a tko 600 trans and KICK butt and be (CLASSIC in APPEARANCE) but have a KILLER COMBO

that would be close to the ultimate combo in my opinion, hey that sounds so darn good if I hit the lotto it will be my next toy, but ID use an aluminum 572 BBC power plant..... I LOVE STROKER BIG BLOCK TQ

come on, confess, how many guys after working in a cramped engine compartment, have not thought about owning a T-BUCKET

the main advantages are very easy access to components and reasonably light weight, resulting in an easy to work on and fun to own hot rod with blistering accelleration, if its designed correctly, and if your good at fabricating you can vastly improve on the suspension and weight transfer issues also.
after beating yourself silly on cramped modern engine compartments these can be a real pleasure to work on.
.
PLUS you can easily get creative and design the car to meet your idea of the correct components, its no big challange to install a modern HEMI,, and old 392 hemi,a buick, pontiac or about anything you can dream up as a drive train, or a DANA 60 rear , CORVETTE, or JAG, rear suspension,or even DUAL big block ENGINES if you have fabrication and design skills
