TRI-Y Headers + Merging the Banks makes a cross-plane V8 sound like an exotic

"Celeritech" in the Netherlands has released a BEAUTIFUL exhaust system for C6 Corvettes:
An EngMod4T-designed full exhaust system that starts with a 4:2:1 Tri-y stainless steel header (slip fit connections), a titanium 2:1 mid pipe, and then a titanium BAAAAARELY muffled axelback that gives in the 4 pipe center exit look that people expect on a C6 Corvette.

Super high velocity exhaust system made in the Calvin Elston "School".

(They're updating the headers to fit on C6 ZR1s right now then they're supposed to re-release it.)

They then install a traditional 4:1 header and dual exhaust with Borla mufflers system.
You can compare the fly-by exhaust notes between the two:

Celeritech 4:2:1:
4:1 Borla:

I'd LOVE to hear a C6 with a bundle-of-snakes 180 degree header vs. the Celeritech and I imagine they sound quite similar, although all the pulses coming together at the exact same time, probably still makes the 180 degree header sound slightly different. (SOMEONE HAS to have an LS7 swapped into a Pantera with 180 degree header, right?...(I hold out hope.))

It's worth noting that the C6 has a Texas Speed "Chop Monster" LS3 cam in it, with a 110 LSA and a lot of extra exhaust duration, so the high velocity Celeritech should be just perfect for awesome throttle response and huge midrange, and at one point in the video the owner comments that the Celeritech system has this huge mid-range vs. the 4:1, so I like that it's almost a perfect app to show off the magic of the Tri-Y. (Although I'm betting he's over-scavenging and throwing fuel out the exhaust; I'd want BIG injectors and it tuned for an Open Valve Injection strategy (fuel timed with the end-of-injection just before the intake closes; trying to avoid spraying during overlap until you get into higher RPMs.)

It's cool to hear so many exhaust geek engine builders talk about how this type of exhaust can build the best average power, but there's just not many people who actually can and actually DO build them. Awesome to see an off-the-shelf exhaust of this type for a widely-available and reasonably priced platform, although the total exhaust system might cost like 1/3 the price of some people's C6s, lol!

More awesome still to HEAR IT.
